Biased writing at the top of the page

[edit]

First paragraph: "Fruitarian diets are subject to criticism and health concerns."

Is the criticism/controversy really a defining aspect of this diet? If yes, this claim needs to be sourced. If not, remove this line altogether considering there is already a full section on nutrition. I think the line is trying to follow the rules set out on this leading paragraph page but doesn't really do it correctly because it just reads as a biased opinion. Content in the lead doesn't need to be sourced it gives an overview of the article. Veg Historian (talk) 22:33, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ben Klassen

[edit]

Does Ben Klassen really belong on this list?

It is true that he adopted a book by Arnold Devries for Salubrious Living. However, all but the intro were De avries writing. Furthermore, Klassen records in his autobiographies that he did not strictly follow a fruitarian diet. It is considered the ideal for Creators, but not required. 2600:1012:B364:6CFF:174C:1B83:6592:21C8 (talk) 19:58, 21 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction

[edit]

The introduction says fruitarians don’t eat any animal products, but it’s later mentioned that some fruitarians eat honey, which is an animal product. ~2026-25033-51 (talk) 02:34, 25 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
