The result of the move request was: Moved. Overall, there's a rough consensus for the proposed move. The lone oppose isn't really opposing on the merits of the request, merely that the commenter thinks the articles should be merged or deleted. That's an entirely separate question though, which doesn't affect this one. It was also suggested that we could use breakdance move instead of breakdancing move, but the response to this was that breakdancing is more common, so overall the original proposal seems more favoured. — Amakuru (talk) 12:06, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- Drop (b-boy move) → Drop (breakdancing move)
- Float (b-boy move) → Float (breakdancing move)
- Freeze (b-boy move) → Freeze (breakdancing move)
- Kick (b-boy move) → Kick (breakdancing move)
- Spin (b-boy move) → Spin (breakdancing move)
- Stab (b-boy move) → Stab (breakdancing move)
- Suicide (b-boy move) → Suicide (breakdancing move)
- Swipe (b-boy move) → Swipe (breakdancing move)
- Windmill (b-boy move) → Windmill (breakdancing move)
– B-boy redirects to Breakdancing so the disambiguation should also use the article name. Gonnym (talk) 15:11, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- Comment The relevant category is Category:Breakdance moves. The disambiguation tag should probably be consistent with it; either move the category, or move articles to Foo (breakdance move). 162 etc. (talk) 17:40, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- Looking at our coverage of breakdancing topics, the gerund seems to be the most commonly used term to describe the dance, so moving the category (and its parent, Category:Breakdance) is probably the best approach on this point. ModernDayTrilobite (talk • contribs) 14:47, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- Support per nom. We lose out on a bit of concision but I think it's a worthwhile trade-off for getting a more recognizable (and gender-neutral) term. ModernDayTrilobite (talk • contribs) 14:47, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
- Oppose All seem to fail WP:GNG, Wikipedia is not a breakdancing guide. They should be nom'd for deletion or merger before any sort of move is discussed. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 12:25, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Neutral - No encyclopedic value in these being separate articles. These instead should be merged, which moots this move request. -- Netoholic @ 17:37, 11 January 2026 (UTC)
