There is an inconsistency here. The article says that this region extends into SE Kansas, but the map is only highlighted in Oklahoma and Texas. Shanoman 17:07, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are varying definitions, the map in the article is a generalization, see the map under external links for a more detailed one that includes a bit going into Kansas.Kmusser 17:17, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A Deer Drive in the Texas "Cross-Timber"

The engraving A Deer Drive in the Texas "Cross-Timber", by Paul Frenzeny and Jules Tavernier, which was published by Harper's in September 1873, would work really well here. I will look to see if it is already on commons. Viriditas (talk) 22:31, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
