Current status: Delisted good article

Can we get the "Delisted" status changed?

[edit]

I see that the article's current status is "Delisted Good Article." What a shame, but it was last assessed and flagged as such in 2018. Some of the issues seem easy to fix, such as removing references that link to The Daily Mail (already done by someone else, thx). Another is to find and swap alternative sources for the 3 remaining IMDB citations (I found 3; maybe someone could double check).

After that, imho the article needs to be edited and possibly split. Not all the content is notable, and many quotes seem better-suited to a fan page, making the article too long and detailed. Also, perhaps Willis' filmography accomplishments could go on a separate page, for example? Here is the Summary Style page, linked from the Wikipedia's Good Article criteria page.

What do we think? Can we whip this article back into Good Article shape? Denstat (talk) 07:02, 24 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

NBC Page

[edit]

He moved to NYC in 77, and Bill Murray says he was an NBC Page at SNL. Murray was at SNL from 77 to 80. He doesn't specify which year Willis was a Page. Harizotoh9 (talk) 01:22, 7 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is related to Harizotoh9's recent additions ([1]) and is sorted. Commander Keane (talk) 07:34, 7 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Bill Murray doesn't specify which year Willis partook in the program, which lasts 12 months. It could have been any of the years Murray was working at SNL. So keep an eye out for sources that clarify this. Harizotoh9 (talk) 06:18, 12 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Change "retired American actor" to "American retired actor". He's not retiring from being American ~2026-19459-80 (talk) 12:39, 29 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: "Retired American actor" does not imply that he is retiring from being American. The existing wording seems fine. Day Creature (talk) 15:23, 29 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
