Films scored by Brian Eno

[edit]

A link on to Films scored by Brian Eno somewhere please? Lmstearn (talk) 15:58, 9 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Full name?

[edit]

What happened to the rest of Brian Eno's name, given at his own website enoweb.co.uk in the FAQs as "Brian Peter George St. John le Baptiste de la Salle Eno"? Granted, the part between "George" and "Eno" was not given at birth but was added to his name when he attended "a Catholic school founded by St Jean-Baptiste de la Salle" in early childhood. I've always presumed it was a confirmation name - Catholics take a new middle name when they're confirmed (age 12 ish). Does Wikipedia's guidelines for people's names instruct not to include confirmation names ? ~2026-18270-19 (talk) 20:51, 23 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I can't see any guideline. There's some past discussion in two threads at Talk:Brian Eno/Archive 2, including the observation that

*EVERY* Catholic "takes" another name on confirmation; these are practically never used; they are rarely registered in civil records. Does Eno use his? If not, I vote for cutting them out. Unless WP plans to revise its articles on *EVERY* Catholic.
