seperate article about first nonstop flight around the world by balloon
[edit]the article about the Solar Impulse project is so great and with so many information's, and there is no article (in English) about the first nonstop flight around the world by balloon of Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones? This article here is more about the balloons but no information about the route etc etc. Would be nice for an update article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.235.36.62 (talk) 11:29, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
Circumnavigated the globe?
[edit]Did the third flight actually circumnavigate the globe? According to the description under Flight, if it crossed the Mediterranean from Switzerland South East, then swung East over Mauritania, then Egypt -- did they only circumnavigate North Africa? A further detailed description (and map?) of the route could help understand this. Thanks. Illang (talk) 04:37, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- The article is correct (albeit a bit unclear), they circumnavigated the globe. They started in Switzerland, went southwest to Mauretania, from there they went eastbound around the globe, passed over Mauretania for the second time and landed in Egypt. Jahoe (talk) 08:55, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
