Change age when orphaned from "14" to "15" in the First Crimes section ~2026-56835-0 (talk) 16:38, 26 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

We would need a reliable source that states this. Carlstak (talk) 17:50, 26 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Does this make sense?

"Following her husband's death, Catherine McCarty and her sons moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where she met William Henry Harrison Antrim. The McCarty family moved from Antrim to Wichita, Kansas in 1870."

What does "from Antrim" mean? It is confusing since "Antrim" is also the man's name. It is weird to say that a family moved "from" a person. Does "Antrim" refer to a place somewhere, or has the sentence somehow got mixed up/garbled? ~2026-89526-7 (talk) 20:55, 16 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I don't suppose it is meant to say "with Antrim"?? ~2026-89526-7 (talk) 21:11, 16 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed Of course, you're right. Thanks for pointing this out. Carlstak (talk) 22:56, 16 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The following paragraph is in the “death section”, stating that it is "unclear if Billy was killed instantly or took some time to die". Reading Garrett’s version of events clears up the confusion; “I drew my revolver and fired, threw my body aside, and fired again. The second shot was useless; the Kid fell dead. He never spoke. A struggle or two, a little strangling sound as he gasped for breath, and the Kid was with his many victims.” The confusion seems to arise from the initial phrase, “fell dead”, which could suggest he died instantly, but the words “struggle or two, a little strangling sound as he gasped for breath” seems to make it clear Billy was alive for a few moments after Garrett shot him. Perhaps this section should be rephrased to reflect the account accurately? ~2026-18452-16 (talk) 19:33, 26 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
