Why did she die so young?

I've never seen a cause of death mentioned anywhere. I would think that since she died only six months after finally selling her company that she was ill. 56 isn't really "so young" - it's about when heart disease and cancer become big risks. because the medical equipment was crap back then, yeah it's sad.

What does this line mean?

Company ownership?

uncited source says that her (first?) husband took over the company changed the formula that threatened her patent rights but that she took back control before the expansion described. Spelling of surname

In the article, the name the name is spelled both 'McMurry' and McMurray.' Which is correct? Grandma Roses (talk) 16:09, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

the internet is littered with both, many refs circling back here, & the actual legal documents, patents & whatnot, all date from periods where her married name was in use.

we'd need evidence from elsewhere, perhaps relatives, or a tendency toward a regional version of the spelling that prevailed in her home region of the USA.

I altered one instance before seeing this. maybe we'll have to dig deeper.
