Board of Trustees asserting control over curriculum
[edit]This seems like a notable recent development. Unsure how to best capture/express it in the article:
- 2026-06-09 Auburn requires faculty to upload syllabi, adds mandatory civics classes
The school’s Board of Trustees approved changes at its June 5 meeting. They also dissolved the school’s faculty senate and will require undergraduates to take a new U.S. history and civic class.
The board gave itself, the campus president and the provost authority to administer curriculum and course review policies. - 2026-06-09 Auburn board takes control of curricula, dissolves faculty senate
