Lead update and changes

[edit]

Hello, I would like to request some minor changes to lead @Flabshoe1 @SNUGGUMS @Batud1991 @Ben0006 @Xp enter49;

1. Include R&B-infused to "Positions" album in the lead, as the whole is pretty much R&B and all her albums have genre description to them.

2. Reword "Grande delved into trap on the albums Sweetener (2018) and Thank U, Next (2019)" to "Personal struggles influenced Grande's albums Sweetener (2018) and Thank U, Next (2019)", both which delved into trap"; Both albums are very significant to her career, and came in a traumatic time in her life, however in the lead, there's no indication to that, so it's seems a bit off to me, as it should be mentioned and there's no clarification to that part of her life.

3. Reword last sentence of third section to "and received critical praise for her portrayal of Glinda, in the fantasy musical film Wicked (2024), which earned her an Academy Award nomination; That removed without explanation. Her role was universally acclaimed and it should be mentioned in the lead. There is also buzz for her performance in the sequel, with many critics praising and predicting her to be a frontrunner this awards season. So, I think it's pretty fair to add it back.

4. Add back, Outside of music and film before "She has worked with many charitable organizations…", just as minor clarity, as philanthropy is not her main occupation.

5. Add the Time mentions in the fourth section, as the first section should be dedicated to the introduction, and listicles often comes in the last section of the lead, plus Grande has now 40 Guinness World Records, update the count.

Outside the lead, the career section hasn't been updated for a while. I would appreciate it, if you could update that too.

Some recent events:

1. On August 28, Grande announced The Eternal Sunshine Tour which includes dates in the US, Canada, and the UK and will start on the June 6th and conclude on September 1st. Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cr74d3k3358o

2. Grande won Video of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

3. On October 31, it was announced that Grande would be joining the cast of American Horror Story's 13th season.

Thanks in advance! Mirrored7 (talk) 16:19, 5 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Partially done. I'm not sure about moving Time mentions, but both Wicked movies are now accounted for in the lead. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 17:58, 5 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you @SNUGGUMS
Can you also re-add that she received critical praise and Academy nomination (you removed it randomly) for the first Wicked film? Maybe "She received critical praise and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for the latter"" or "For the former, she received critical praise and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for the former".
Also, link the article Contemporary R&B to R&B. For the Time mentions, I just saw many leads where the listicles are normally placed in the last section. It doesn't bother me that much. Mirrored7 (talk) 18:23, 5 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I was planning to wait until the Wicked sequel comes out before we add further details on that. If that gets praise and/or awards like the first movie, then it would be easier to give something that jointly applies to both movies. Either way, R&B was already linked in the lead when discussing Yours Truly genres. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 20:43, 5 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I added items 2 and 3 of the suggested body edits (though I used a different source for the MTV Video Music Awards per WP:FORBESCON). Item 1 was already in the article. Aoi (青い) (talk) 22:35, 5 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, @Aoi Mirrored7 (talk) 01:49, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@SNUGGUMS Aren't films supposed to be added only to the lead, until they are released? The second part comes out in two weeks. Maybe remove that part instead, and wait two weeks, and add the critical praise and Academy Award nomination part. She still has achieved both. Mirrored7 (talk) 01:56, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It seems redundant to mention both critical acclaim and the Oscar nomination in the lead. The latter implies the former, and the latter wouldn't happen unless the former was true. The lead does not need to include everything. Aoi (青い) (talk) 03:10, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you might be right. Mirrored7 (talk) 03:34, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Technically the second Wicked already has been released via a Suhai Music Hall premiere, which DOES count for something, so there's no problem with the lead now mentioning this along with the first installment. It's not like we're required to wait for a debut within a certain territory. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 05:09, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I thought, it only be included in the lead, by it's official release date. I don't know the formalities for this. Mirrored7 (talk) 09:51, 6 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Aoi @SNUGGUMS Someone please remove “partner” from her info box. I don't think relationships are to be significant to be in there, especially because past ones aren't mentioned either. That they have been rumored to be broken up doesn't help either. Mirrored7 (talk) 23:19, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Removed when exact time they got together is unclear, regardless of whether they still are together, and remember to be cautious of speculation/hearsay. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 23:27, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Ben0006 It's her third time hosting SNL. Please fix. Mirrored7 (talk) 15:35, 19 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Ben0006 This month, Grande became the third woman to chart at least eight albums on the Billboard 200: https://www.billboard.com/charts/billboard-200/2025-12-20/
I would appreciate, if you could add this to the "Achievements" section! Thanks! Mirrored7 (talk) 17:48, 27 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Flabshoe1 Please add "former" to Oscar mention in the lead, just for clarification, as she was only nominated for the first part. Thanks! Mirrored7 (talk) 14:14, 22 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Please refrain from pinging me further on edit requests when you already know I don't like to be treated as a proxy for your desires. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 22:35, 5 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry. I pinged you, because you handled my request in the past and even more recently. You're also a frequent editor in here. I will consider it in the future. Those are requests by the way, not "desires". Mirrored7 (talk) 11:21, 6 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Some requests to the lead and the article in general.

@Ben0006 @Flabshoe1 @Batud1991 @Prefall

1. Re-word "Regarded as a pop icon and an influential figure in popular music" | re-add "pop icon" to the lead, which was removed without explanation.

2. Re-add, right after Thank U, Next and 7 Rings, "and made her the first solo artist and first artist since 1964 to occupy the top three spots of the Billboard Hot 100": It's one of her most known records, and too much of a significant milestone in her career, to ignore in the lead. I know Drake and Swift surpassed the record by miles now, but Grande was the first to achieve in decades, and she basically opened to the door for those kinds of records to be broken in the streaming era. I think, it's worth a mention. It also was removed without any reason anyway.

3. Add "businesswoman" and "record producer" in occupation table, as there are pretty much credible sources and credits to back it up.

4. Add this to achievements: Eternal Sunshine reached 100 weeks at the Billboard 200. Her fourth album to achieve it, the most right after Taylor Swift: https://www.billboard.com/artist/ariana-grande/#

5. Adding more info to "activism" section: "In September, Grande criticized the Trump administration over its immigration policy, anti-transgender agenda and censorship. She shared a post from Matt Bernstein, who questioned whether Trump supporters’ lives have improved after 250 days of his presidency, asking if the harm done to marginalized groups has resulted in the promised benefits, like lower costs or better healthcare. The White House deputy press secretary promptly issued a statement by using her song titles, while defending the administration's actions in response to Grande's criticism." Thanks in advance! Mirrored7 (talk) 16:45, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@4TheLuvOfFax Is it possible, than you can revert your recent edit on the lead? It's oddly worded, and the album is generally known as more R&B focused than trap. Nothing personally against you, but just something I observed, and I don't agree with. Mirrored7 (talk) 12:43, 6 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@SNUGGUMS Hello. I know, you don't like to get pinged, especially for this. But can at least revert this edit?

The album is mainly R&B-infused, not trap. It's also oddly worded. I really would appreciate it and this would be my final edit request to you. Mirrored7 (talk) 15:51, 14 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
That change has been taken care of. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 16:43, 14 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Mirrored7 (talk) 16:45, 14 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Ben0006 Grande has now four albums reaching 100 weeks on the Billboard 200 each. https://www.billboard.com/artist/ariana-grande/# She is after Swift thd only female artist to achieve this. I would appreciate it, if you could add this to Achievement section! Mirrored7 (talk) 17:53, 14 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Ben0006 Hi! You haven't respond to me edit requests. I really would appreciate if you could look at the one above.
Also, in the last days, there were some of her achievements removed, because of their sources. I would appreciate it if you could add them back with their new sources.
Replace "Die For You" with "Save Your Tears", as there is no source for former:

Huhu. @Ben0006 Really would appreciate if you could fix all the above. :) Mirrored7 (talk) 14:44, 26 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship Update w/ Ethan Slater

[edit]

Proposed change: In June 2026, it was reported that the couple had quietly separated some months prior. [1] AWannabePilot (talk) 13:09, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

She played french horn in high school and plays piano. These are not listed in the instrument category.

[edit]

"'I played French horn for a few years but I’d love to learn violin… the most beautiful sound in the world to me,' Grande once tweeted, to the delight of all brass players everywhere. While she hasn’t had any formal vocal training, Grande credits her horn and piano-playing for all her music theory know-how." https://www.classicfm.com/discover-music/pop-singers-classically-trained/ ~2026-35150-41 (talk) 19:19, 16 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
