Reverted edits on 19 June 2025 – request for explanation

[edit]

@Criticize: Hi, it would be helpful if you could explain why you reverted the edits made earlier today. As noted in my edit summary, those two sentences that were deleted were only supported by a textbook that didn't specify what type of foil it was talking about, so it seems wrong to have those facts here as if they were about aluminium foil. For the first sentence it seems pretty clear that the textbook was in fact talking about tin foil as I am able to find other sources stating that tin foil was used in 1913 for Life Savers. For the second sentence, if there is a need to have information on the reflectivity of grocery-store-bought aluminium foil in this article, there is this paper https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2215017X1930373X that seems appropriate to cite.
