The Smallest Show on Earth (1957) features Coming Thro the Rye (1923)

The popular British comedy film, The Smallest Show on Earth (1957) starring Peter Sellers, Bill Travers, Virginia McKenna and Margaret Rutherford features several films showing in the Bijou, a fleapit cinema inherited unwittingly by a young couple. The silent film, Coming Thro the Rye (1923), starring Alma Taylor is shown, with Margaret Rutherford playing the piano. Alma Taylor also features as an (uncredited) audience member.
