[edit]The popular British comedy film, The Smallest Show on Earth (1957) starring Peter Sellers, Bill Travers, Virginia McKenna and Margaret Rutherford features several films showing in the Bijou, a fleapit cinema inherited unwittingly by a young couple. The silent film, Coming Thro the Rye (1923), starring Alma Taylor is shown, with Margaret Rutherford playing the piano. Alma Taylor also features as an (uncredited) audience member.
