Salafi

[edit]

Abu Bakr Shekau is not a Salafi, by his own admission, he declares Salafis to be non Muslim indeed he even emphasied Salafis before mentioning other sects..[1] In addition Boko Haram are universally considered khawarij by Salafis including the extremist Abdullah el-Faisal. The authentic source from Brill publishers states that he is a Salafi. The link you provided from http://www.authentictauheed.com is not a reliable source. It is a hate site. Saheeh Info 08:52, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

My point was merely to show that even extremists hate preachers consider him a khariji, Brill are not Muslims.IslamicrevialistmMujahid (talk) 10:47, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A refutation of this written by a Nigerian Salafi Muslim scholar, [3] IslamicrevialistmMujahid (talk) 10:51, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In addition I brought the words of SHEKAU HIMSELF, declaring Salafis to be disbelivers, so who knows better Shekaus beliefs, himself or a publisher?IslamicrevialistmMujahid (talk) 10:53, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The sources you have all provided are all weak and are unacceptable by Wikipedia standards. Read WP:IRS. Websites such as http://www.authentictauheed.com and http://salafimanhaj.com/ are hate sites written by people who think that anybody outside of their sect / cult are deviant. BRILL Publishers is considered a proper source. Saheeh Info 21:48, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This needs to be updated, a few of the sources redirect to hijacked domains Densc (talk) 09:52, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dar ul Tawheed does not translate as specialist in Tawheed rather a better translation would be the Land of Tawheed. IslamicrevialistmMujahid (talk) 07:03, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • ... that Abubakar Shekau was too extreme even by the Islamic State's standards?

  • Hi JaxsonR, unfortunately I don't think this article is eligible for DYK at the moment. Per Wikipedia:Did you know/Guidelines, the article needs to have been created, expanded more than 5x in length or have been promoted to WP:Good Article within seven days of nomination. I think it is unlikely you will be able to expand it fivefold, so your best bet for a DYK appearance would be to take it through the GA process. As to other DYK criteria you will need to ensure the article is fully cited, with a minimum of one inline citation at the end of each paragraph and resolve the tag for "needs update" - Dumelow (talk) 15:28, 14 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
