Davis short footnotes

[edit]

There are two short footnotes w/o a source. How should these be handled? —¿philoserf? (talk) 03:01, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I found Davis|1998 getting added here by @Birdienest81:. Perhaps the source is known. —¿philoserf? (talk) 03:23, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

First Oscar winner to play an Oscar loser?

[edit]

The Winners and Nominees section features the following: “ Best Supporting Actress winner Maggie Smith became the only person to win an Oscar for playing an Oscar loser in California Suite.”

However, just the year before, Jason Robards won for playing Dashiell Hammett in Julia, who was nominated (and lost) for screenwriting for Watch on the Rhine (1943).

Renee Zellweger also later won for playing Judy Garland in Judy (2019), who never won a competitive Oscar. ~2026-30930-57 (talk) 12:29, 23 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
