Ricardo G. Papa was a Filipino general and police officer.
Military career
[edit]Papa served in the Philippine Army since in the early 1940s until 1963. When he was assigned at the 91st Division as a G-3 officer and captain, he survived the Pantingan River massacre which occurred during the Bataan Death March.[1]
He became the Commanding General of the Army for over 200 days in 1963.[2]
Police career
[edit]He became the Chief of Police[1] of the Manila Police Department from 1966 to 1968.[2][3]
Legacy
[edit]A street and a train station,[2] including the former name of Camp Bagong Diwa, was named after him.[2][4][5][6]
