Study.ua is a Ukrainian private educational services company founded in 1999 by Oleksandr Bresler.[1] The company specializes in study abroad placement and related educational services. Its headquarters are located in Kyiv, Ukraine.

History

[edit]

Study.ua was founded by Oleksandr Bresler in 1999.[1] According to the company, its operational activities began in 2000 with cultural exchange programs including Au pair and Work and Travel USA.

In 2016, the company launched a network of English-language academies under the Study Academy brand.[2]

Following the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Study.ua launched a free online school for Ukrainian students. During its first weeks of operation, the project reportedly enrolled approximately 30,000 students.[3]

In the same year, the company opened Neo Study, a Ukrainian-language school in Cyprus for Ukrainian refugees displaced by the war.[4]

Operations

[edit]

The company's primary activity is assisting Ukrainian pupils and students with admission to educational institutions abroad. As of 2022, Study.ua operated 26 offices in Kyiv and Odesa.

The company also operates several educational institutions and projects:

  • Nova Study (Warsaw, Poland) – an international day and boarding school.[6]
  • Nowa Akademika (Warsaw, Poland) – an international school.[6]
  • Study.ua International School – a program preparing students for admission abroad and providing education based on Canadian and American school curricula in Ukraine, with campuses in Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Lviv, Irpin, and online.[7]

One of the company's areas of activity is the organization of international education fairs in Ukraine, which have been held since 2010.[8][9][10][11]

Education fairs

[edit]

Since 2010, Study.ua has organized international education fairs focused on studying abroad.[9][11]

The fairs are held twice a year and focus on international education, admissions to foreign educational institutions, and academic mobility opportunities.[9][11]

Over the years, the events have taken place in Kyiv, Odesa, and other Ukrainian cities, featuring representatives of schools, colleges, universities, and language centers from the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, and other countries.[9][10]

Recognition

[edit]

In 2022, Study.ua received the StudyTravel Star Awards as the best educational agency in Eastern Europe.[12][13][14]
