Snacko is an indie "farming cat‑venture" video game developed by Bluecurse Studios, a two‑person team based in Canada.[1] The game combines farming, exploration, crafting, and a cozy non‑violent tone. It was released in Early Access for PC and later announced for Nintendo Switch.[2]

Gameplay

[edit]

Players control Momo and Mikan, two adventurous cats who travel to a ruined island and work to restore it. Gameplay includes farming crops, clearing land, crafting tools, decorating the island, and helping NPC animals rebuild their homes. The game uses a day‑night cycle, seasonal changes, and a quest system. Its style is often compared to Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing.[3]

Development

[edit]

Snacko is developed by Bluecurse Studios,[4] founded by husband‑and‑wife team Erisa and Nick. Development began around 2018, with the game gaining attention through Wholesome Direct showcases, Steam festivals, and indie gaming press coverage. The developers frequently post updates through devlogs, social media, and Steam announcements.

Reception

[edit]

Early Access impressions from indie‑game reviewers have praised the game's pixel‑art style, relaxing gameplay, charming characters, and cozy atmosphere. Some reviewers noted that the Early Access version was still expanding its systems but showed strong potential.[5]
