Poses is the 4th studio album by Alain Chamfort released by CBS Records on October 1st 1979. The album was preceded with the release of the lead single Manureva three weeks prior. Recorded in Los Angeles, Poses is the second collaboration between Chamfort and Serge Gainsbourg après Rock'n rose, who this time doesn't write the lyrics to all the songs: Jean-Michel Rivat, Jay Alanski and Jane Birkin have written lyrics for the album as well.
Poses is notable for the success of its three singles Manureva, Géant and Palais royal but especially Manureva which became Chamfort's signature song.
