History

[edit]

Began 24-hour broadcasting as part of the Digital Television package (VGTRK); June 1, 2014[1]. On March 21, 2015, with the participation of the TV channel, the almanac Mult in Cinema was launched in Russian federal cinema chains; the project received support from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation[2]. According to the results of audience research conducted by TNS Russia, by April 2015 the channel took second place among children's non-terrestrial television.[3].

From September 26, 2015 to September 8, 2018, the TV channels Russia-1 and Russia-1 HD aired a weekly morning block of cartoons called Cartoon Morning[4]. Initially, this block featured various animated series, but later only two remained in the block: Masha and the Bear and Be-Be-Bears.

On December 1, 2019, the channel switched to widescreen 16:9 broadcasting and also launched a version in high definition standard (HD)[5].
