Kiddopia is an education app for kids of age 2 to 7, developed by Paper Boat Apps Private Limited. The app is available on both iOS and Android devices on a subscription based model. The company has its headquarters in Mumbai, India, and is owned by Nazara Technologies.

Paper Boat Apps

Paper Boat Apps Private Limited was founded by husband-wife duo Anupam Dhanuka and Anshu Dhanuka in 2012.[1] Anupam studied engineering at University of Mumbai and then later Post Graduated at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), [2] post which he later worked at Morgan Stanley and Dolby Laboratories.[3] His partner, Anshu Dhanuka,pursued her bachelors from University of Mumbai in Management Studies.[3]

Together, they launched Kiddopia in 2017.[1]

Application

Kiddopia is a subscription based educational application for kids in the age range of 2 to 7. It offers games and activities focused on early learning topics like maths, creativity and problem.[4][5]

Kiddopia is certified under the KidSAFE Seal Programme for compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), an FTC-recognised safe harbour programme.[4] It was also reviewed by Common Sense Media.[5]

In October 2019, Nazara Technologies acquired a 50.91% stake in Paper Boat Apps Pvt. Ltd.[6]

2024

In July 2024, Paper Boat Apps Pvt. Ltd. became a wholly owned subsidiary of Nazara Technologies after Nazara acquired the remaining 48.42% stake in Paper Boat Apps Private Limited.[7][8][9]

Licensing agreements

In December 2024, Kiddopia entered into a formal licensing agreement with a UK based children's media company Moonbug Entertainment, which allowed the use of animated characters from the children's series Little Angel.[10]

In January 2025, Kiddopia entered into an agreement with Mattel, allowing them the use of Barbie on the platform.[11]

In March 2025, Kiddopia entered into a licensing agreement with Hasbro for the use of characters like PJ Masks within the application. [12]

Recognition

In April 2026, Kiddopia was nominated at the 2026 Webby Awards in the "Apps, Software & Immersive — Consumer Apps — Kids & Family" category.[13][4]
