Gallio PRO is a computer vision software for anonymizing faces and vehicle registration plates in images and videos.
History
[edit]Trasee Sp. z o.o. was founded in 2019 in Wrocław by graduates of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology with backgrounds in programming and data analysis.[1] The company is associated with the Academic Entrepreneurship Incubator at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology.[2]
In June 2022, Trasee was selected as one of eight finalists from 33 applicants in the "Zagraj o mentoring" (Play for Mentoring) startup competition, organized jointly by the inQUBE University Entrepreneurship Incubator at the University of Economics in Wrocław and the InCredibles acceleration program founded by Sebastian Kulczyk.[2][3][4] On 22 June 2022, the company won the competition's first prize for the Gallio project, earning a place in the InCredibles acceleration and mentoring program.[3][4]
The Gallio project's founding team consisted of Mateusz Zimoch (CEO), Łukasz Bonczol, Piotr Zieliński, Bartłomiej Kurzeja, and Bartosz Gierczak.[3][4]
In 2023, Trasee was again selected as a finalist in the InCredibles program.[1]
Description
[edit]Gallio PRO detects faces and vehicle registration plates in image and video files using computer vision, and applies a masking effect (blur, pixelation, or solid fill) to the detected regions. The software operates in two modes: an automatic batch mode that processes multiple files in sequence, and a manual mode in which the operator selects individual detections to mask before exporting the file. Processing runs locally on the user's device without uploading files to external servers. The first commercial release was in April 2021, with versions for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
