History

[edit]

Fawesome TV was launched by Future Today Inc. founders Alok Ranjan[5] and Vikrant Mathur[2] and is available across multiple CTV platforms like Roku, Fire TV, Samsung TV, Vizio, and LG[6] to name a few. Between 2020 and 2023, the platform expanded its distribution through deals with major cable and streaming providers, including Comcast (Xfinity),[7] Cox Communications,[8] [9]Sling TV[10], and Rogers Communications.[11]

In 2025, Future Today also announced a partnership to syndicate content from popular YouTubers for streaming across Fawesome channels.[12] Fawesome reported that crime programming on Roku grew 72% year-over-year in 2025, while its Spanish-language catalog expanded more than 175% between 2024 and 2025.[2]

Business Model

Fawesome operates on an AVOD model, where content is free to viewers and revenue is generated through video advertisements played during streams.[13]The platform does not require user registration, logins, or credit card details.[14]

To support its advertising infrastructure, Future Today integrated with Publica's server-side ad insertion (SSAI) technology to meet growing connected TV ad demand.[15]
