Digital South Trust was established in 2022 with the objective of promoting blockchain education and emerging technologies in India. The organisation conducts educational programs and awareness initiatives for students, educators, and professionals.

Its initiatives are aligned with broader digital education efforts in India, including policies such as the National Education Policy 2020.[1]

Policy engagement

In 2025, representatives associated with Digital South Trust were part of a delegation of Web3 and digital asset stakeholders that submitted recommendations to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance regarding virtual digital assets (VDAs).[3]

The committee subsequently selected the subject of “Virtual Digital Assets (VDAs) and Way Forward” for detailed examination during the 2024–25 period, following inputs from industry stakeholders including Digital South Trust.[3][4]
