Devolution is an upcoming American horror film directed by James Ashcroft. The film is based on the 2020 novel of the same name by Max Brooks.
Production
[edit]In 2012, Legendary Entertainment hired Max Brooks, Jack Bender, and David Leslie Johnson to develop the concept of Devolution,[1] but the project was put on hold as Brooks decided to work on his idea as a book first. After the book was published in 2020, Legendary picked up the rights for an adaptation again.[2] In June 2021, it was announced that James Ashcroft was hired to direct the film.[3]
