Christopher (Chris) Dyson is a British Columbia lawyer and political strategist who served as the campaign manager for Kerry-Lynne Findlay's successful bid to become the leader of the Conservative Party of British Columbia.

Legal career

Dyson practices in the areas of personal injury, insurance (disability) law, estate litigation and employment & labour law. Dyson is the owner of the Dyson Law Firm. Dyson practices in British Columbia and Alberta. Dyson has been practicing law since 1998. Dyson is a Governor of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia (TLABC) and sits on the Executive Committee of the TLABC.^[1]

Role in the 2026 BC Conservative Leadership Race

Dyson led Kerry-Lynne Findlay's campaign team during the highly competitive "Race to Replace" leadership contest of the BC Conservative Party, which concluded with Findlay's victory on May 30, 2026. The final ballot included Findlay, Caroline Elliot, Yuri Fulmer, Peter Milobar and Iain Black.^[2]

Defending Against Allegations

In mid-May 2026, just before the leadership vote, Dyson made headlines when he issued an official statement strongly denying media reports of alleged federal election wrongdoing by Findlay. Dyson called the allegations unproven and false, noting that the campaign had received no official notice of an investigation from Elections Canada. The party's organizing committee eventually found insufficient evidence to take action, and Findlay went on to win the leadership.^[3]^[4]^[5]

Media Appearances

Following the victory, Dyson appeared as a featured guest on the B.C. political podcast Hotel Pacifico in June 2026 to discuss the ins and outs and strategy behind the winning leadership campaign.^[6]
