Comment: AI is not a reliable sources. All AI generated text and all references to AI needs to be removed and only include text that can be sourced from a reliable source. More references have to be added for it to meet notability criteria. cyberdog958Talk 06:03, 17 June 2026 (UTC)

History
[edit]In May 2023, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) published an application on its website from U Multicultural Inc. to launch a new community television station, alongside a new FM sister radio station (CHEB-FM at 88.7 MHz), in Winnipeg. The application outlined that the television station would operate on UHF channel 14 with an ERP of 2.4 kW.
The CRTC officially approved the application in 2024, noting that an over-the-air community station would benefit the local area and provide access to programming for free.[3]
In October 2025, U Multicultural began conducting on-air signal tests for both CFUM-DT and CHEB-FM. However, the final technical certification faced administrative delays as Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) continued analyzing the broadcast measurements. Consequently, in January 2026, the CRTC granted U Multicultural an extension, giving the station until February 9, 2027, to complete its final construction and officially start regular operations.
Programming
[edit]The station is mandated by its license to broadcast local, community-driven and diverse content. Its programs include:

Notes
[edit]Some of the content have been generated by AI (Gemini 3.1 Pro), but the content was modified by a human and it is not 100% AI
The station has program schedule issues, where if you watch the TV channel and you compare the schedule to the current program, they are not accurate
