Adam Reifsnyder is a musician, songwriter, and singer known as a founding member of the American rock band Walk the Moon and as a co-writer of the band's song "Anna Sun". [1][2] He has also performed with the Ohio-based bands Honeybucket and The Fairdowells, and has released solo music under his name.

Career

Walk the Moon

Reifsnyder was a founding member of Walk the Moon (originally formed as 'Wicked in the Mix') while attending Kenyon College in Ohio. He performed bass and vocals and remained with the band during its early years prior to its signing with RCA Records.[3]

He is credited as a songwriter on the band's song "Anna Sun", released as the lead single from Walk the Moon's major-label debut and later becoming the band's first charting hit on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart.[4][5]

Honeybucket and other projects

Following his departure from Walk the Moon, Reifsnyder became a member of Honeybucket, a Cleveland-area newgrass band. Honeybucket received regional recognition, including selection as Best Band in Cleveland Scene's annual Best of Cleveland issue in 2016.[6][7]

Reifsnyder later performed with The Fairdowells, an indie folk project with his partner Lauren Michelle Morgan. The duo was featured by Ideastream Public Media and other regional outlets.[8]

Reifsnyder has also released solo recordings. His solo work has been covered by 'Cleveland Scene', including releases in 2017 and 2024.[9][10]

In 2026, Reifsnyder collaborated with musician Gretchen Pleuss on an EP called 'The Rest of You', which was profiled by Ideastream Public Media.[11]

Personal life

Reifsnyder attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.[12] Reifsnyder also has a life partner, Lauren Michelle Morgan, who also is a member of The Fairdowells.[13]
