CybelAngel is a French cybersecurity company specializing in external threat intelligence, digital risk protection, and attack surface management. The company was founded in Paris in 2013 by Erwan Keraudy, Stevan Keraudy, and Matthieu Finiasz. CybelAngel develops software and intelligence services designed to identify exposed corporate data, external cyber threats, compromised credentials, and other digital risks outside traditional organizational networks.[1][2]
History
[edit]CybelAngel was founded in Paris in 2013 by brothers Erwan and Stevan Keraudy and cryptography researcher Matthieu Finiasz. Before founding the company, Erwan Keraudy worked in finance as a credit analyst at Natixis, a trader at Société Générale, and Deputy CIO at SBI Funds Management in Mumbai. Stevan Keraudy worked in technology, having studied machine learning at Aalto University, co-founded Mozaick, and worked as an IT consultant at Accenture.[3]
In 2015, the company's technology was used to identify exposed information related to the Ashley Madison data breach.[4] In 2017, CybelAngel raised €3.4 million in funding from Serena Capital through its Serena Data Ventures fund.[5] In 2018, the company completed a €10 million Series A financing round backed by Bpifrance and Serena Capital. The funding was intended to support international expansion and product development.[6]
In 2020, CybelAngel was selected for the French Tech 120 programme, an initiative launched by the French government to support high-growth technology companies.[7] Also in 2020, the company raised $36 million in Series B funding led by Prime Ventures and TempoCap, with participation from Bpifrance and Open CNP.[8] The round brought CybelAngel's total funding to approximately $52 million.[9][10]
