Coven Academy is an upcoming American supernatural comedy-drama television series created by Tim Federle that is set to premiere in mid-2026 on Disney Channel and Disney+.[1] The series stars Malina Weissman, Tiffani Thiessen, Malachi Barton, Louis Thresher, Jordan Leftwich, and Ora Duplass.[2]

Set in New Orleans, a trio of teenage witches-in-training are destined to protect their city against dangerous and ancient forces.

On March 11, 2025, Disney Branded Television gave a pilot order to Coven Academy. Tim Federle serves as the creator and executive producer of the series.[5] On August 15, 2025, the series was formally greenlit, with the cast also being announced. Federle wrote and directed the pilot, with Kimberly McCullough and Bronwyn North-Reist serving as executive producers.[2] In February 2026, Devon Sawa joined in a guest starring role as Mr. Cole.[4] Shannon Kohli and Aprill Winney directed episodes of the series.[6]

Filming

Principal photography began on December 5, 2025, in Burnaby, British Columbia, and was scheduled to wrap on March 5, 2026.[6]

Release

Coven Academy is scheduled to premiere in 2026 on Disney Channel and Disney+.[2]
