Career
[edit]Solari began her career in the 2000s as a comedy performer and actress. Early profiles in the Boston Herald highlighted her comedy and acting projects while she was based in Massachusetts.[2][3]
In 2014, she performed stand-up comedy while eight months pregnant on The Arsenio Hall Show, appearing alongside George Lopez.[1] Media outlets later cited this as a landmark moment in televised stand-up.[4]
She went on to create Charlie, also known as Charlie TV, a single-camera children’s comedy series starring her daughters Charlie Dean and Blade Dean. The show originally premiered on Roku in 2015 and later moved to Amazon Prime and YouTube.[5] As of 2025, the series had entered its tenth season.[6]
Her work includes films, television pilots, and comedy specials. She wrote and directed the stand-up special Hello New Zealand, My Life in Pink, which was distributed on streaming platforms including Apple TV and Amazon Prime.[7][8]
Style
[edit]Her comedic style mixes dark humor, personal storytelling, and family life. Interviews have described her as drawing on themes of female empowerment and motherhood.[9]
