Arthur Margelidon (born 12 October 1993, in Paris, France) is a Canadian retired[1] judoka who competed primarily in the men's 73 kg category.[2]

Career

Margelidon won the bronze medal the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, and the gold medal at the 2016 Pan American Judo Championships in Havana.[3]

In June 2016, he was selected for Canada's Olympic team,[4] but he had to withdraw after he injured his arm.[5] In June 2021, Margelidon was named to Canada's 2020 Olympic team.[6] Margelidon would go onto finish in fifth place, one victory away from a bronze medal.[7]

He lost his bronze medal match in the men's 73 kg event at the 2023 World Judo Championships held in Doha, Qatar.
