Aidan Birr is an American football kicker for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Early life and high school
[edit]Birr attended Kennedale High School located in Kennedale, Texas. Coming out of high school, he committed to play college football for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.[1]
College career
[edit]Birr missed his freshman season in 2022, as he was recovering from a torn ACL.[2] During the 2023 season, Birr converted on 17 of his 19 field goal attempts, while going 37 for 38 on his extra points.[3] In week zero of the 2024 season, he hit the game-winning 44-yard field goal to upset Florida State.[4] Birr finished the 2024 season, hitting 15 of his 22 field goals, while also converting on all 45 extra points.[5][6] In week three of the 2025 season, he made the game-winning 55-yard field goal, in an upset over Clemson.[7] Birr finished the 2025 season, going 25 for 29 on his field goal attempts, while also going 45 for 45 on his extra points, earning first-team all-ACC honors.[8] He also finished as a finalist for the Lou Groza Award.[9]
