This is a good call out. Though at least in the case of SkyUI it’s more of a “dangerous tool being used by someone who knows how to use it/actually perform the task” rather than the more frequent case of “someone with no prior experience or skill at all makes something huge and borderline impossible.”

This is persicaria species, knotweed or smartweed. A picture of the stem showing the “knots” where the leaves attach would be helpful to identify species. It can cause photosensitivity but is not thought to be toxic. It can spread quickly though and will shade out grass (or it does in my yard), so i would try to remove.
