Constructive criticism of SpongeBob SquarePants is welcome, but do not put words in Stephen Hillenburg’s mouth or misrepresent his views as a "critique". Statements like “Stephen didn’t die for this” are not only inaccurate but also disrespectful. Hillenburg was involved with the show all the way through up until his passing, approving episodes. If you want to critique the series, focus on the content itself rather than making false claims about the creator’s opinions.
