Minimum Effort / Post Completeness

❌ Low-effort or incoherent posts are not allowed.

Posts must include more than just an image. Provide a caption, backstory, or relevant details when posting pictures.

Posts must also be reasonably readable and focused. Excessive tangents, emojis, or formatting that makes a post hard to follow may lead to removal. We're here to help each other—clear writing helps everyone.

Posts that lack sufficient context, structure, or clarity may be removed at moderator discretion.

Off-Topic Content

❌ Posts must be relevant to the community's focus.

Off-topic discussions, memes, and unrelated content will be removed.

If unsure whether your post is relevant, check the community guidelines.

Neglect, Irresponsible, or Harmful Behavior

❌ Posts that encourage or excuse neglect, irresponsibility, or harm are not allowed.

Rehoming & Adoption Posts (Mod Approval Required)

Rehoming posts must be mod-approved before posting. Rescue organizations may share adoptable Danes if transparent about their process.

Private rehoming posts must include age, location, temperament, and reason for rehoming. Posts missing key details may be denied.

❌ No "free dog" requests, breeder ads, or "DM me for details" posts. Suspicious or low-effort posts may be removed.

Spam, Self-Promotion, or Donation Requests

❌ Excessive self-promotion or spam is not allowed.

Sharing links to personal websites, YouTube channels, or products must follow community guidelines.

Repetitive or low-value posts/comments may be considered spam.

Only verified rescues/shelters are permitted to post donation requests. Individuals in need of assistance are urged to work through the organization from which they adopted, who may post donation requests on their behalf. (after mod approval)

Treat others with respect, even when disagreeing.

Targeted harassment or discrimination based on race, gender, identity, or other characteristics will result in action.

No Misinformation

If making factual claims, provide sources where necessary. Posts spreading conspiracy theories, medical misinformation, or deliberate falsehoods will be removed.

This includes misinformation specific to Danes, such as false health claims (“Danes can’t get bloat,” “Raw feeding is mandatory”), dangerous training myths (“Prong collars are required,” “Crate training is cruel”), or inaccurate size/weight expectations that mislead potential adopters.

NSFW & Graphic Content Policy

❌ NSFW or graphic content must be properly marked.

Explicit or violent content must be labeled as NSFW.

Illegal, exploitative, or excessively graphic content is not allowed.

No Trolling or Baiting

❌ Posts or comments made in bad faith to provoke reactions will be removed.

Engaging in trolling, flame wars, or baiting others is not allowed.

Constructive discussion is encouraged; disruptive behavior is not.

No Low-Quality, Repetitive, or Stolen Re-posts
