Keep discussion about Guild Wars Reforged

Remember that this sub is for Guild Wars (1/Reforged), not the franchise as a whole or other random content. Don't post content unrelated to Guild Wars Reforged. For Guild Wars 2, please use r/Guildwars2. For Guild Wars 3, please use r/Guildwars3

No asking for, linking to, or promoting RMT or botting

Trading real-life money for in-game items or accounts is strictly against the subreddit rules as well as GW EULA.

Any posts or comments promoting RMT or botting will be deleted. Users linking or mentioning an RMT website or contact details will receive a ban.

Trading for items in other games (including GW2) is also forbidden. Discussing botting/RMT in-game in general terms is OK.

Don't post about issues with your account/access or to contact support.

We are not customer support, so please refrain from asking for help with your specific ticket or Error. Start a ticket through the Guild Wars support portal or email support@arena.net. You can find all information on https://help.guildwars.com/. This rule is only about specific ticket-related issues. Asking about general game problems is fine.

Don't post same/similar topics as recent content

Duplicate posts or posts on the exact same subject within a 30-day period will be removed. Check the pinned content. Use the search to find posts. Additional information on the same subject should be included in the original post as an edit/comment rather than as a new post. Includes Guild Recruitment and Video content. Re-Posts/ Duplicates of thread and comments will be removed. Try to avoid making the exact same point as another recent post - just make a comment on that thread.

No witch-hunting or stirring up drama

Sort your conflicts out elsewhere. Hateful comments against others are not permitted. Witch-hunting is trying to punish a player/user for something they have done.

If you have proof of any player doing something against the GW ToS/EULA, report it to ArenaNet.

Posts about warnings/bans are prohibited. If you are dissatisfied with a Mod action you should contact the team via ModMail.

Video/Stream Content

Video Posts: You may post videos from your own or other channels if you're an active member of the subreddit/community. Videos that do not meet the other rules here may be removed. You may not post the same video twice or promote the YouTube channel itself.

Live Streams: Advertising your stream here is only allowed if you are streaming special content/an event or for the inclusion of the community (giveaways, playing with members etc.). Specific stream(er) request threads are also allowed.

Don't post AI/Low Effort/No context/Offensive - Content/Memes/Videos

Memes, funny content & screenshots are welcomed.

Offensive ones will be removed. Low effort ones may be removed if deemed inappropriate or do not contribute. Images without context will be removed. Posts featuring only AI generated content will be removed.

A post is considered low effort if deemed it does not contribute any value to the community. This includes posts that could just have been a comment on an existing thread or content that is frequently posted.

Looking for Groups/Guilds/Alliances

Looking for/advertising a Guild or Group is only to be posted in the Weekly Guild Recruitment/Request Post. This is every Wednesday. You can find and reply in the current post or wait until the following week.

Guild Recruitment/Request posts made outside of the Weekly thread will be removed.

Looking for people to play Guild Wars with is allowed, but again, if spammed, it will be removed. Also consider joining the Guild Wars Global Discord server to find people/Guilds!

Trading and Price Checks

Price Check and game Economy Questions or items for Trade are only to be posted in the Weekly Trade and Price Check discussion Post. This is every Monday. You can find and reply in the current post or wait until the following week.

Price Check/Trade/Economy posts made outside of the Weekly thread will be removed.

Don’t post Game Codes

It is fine to give away codes, but it is not allowed to post the serial code directly in your post. Send the Code via PM to the person you wish to. We will remove any post that contains codes, no matter the context. Reason is it risks the security of the account: Link

No begging for items or help

Begging for items/currency/game codes is not allowed at all.

Requesting in-game assistance is permitted, but be graceful. Remember that you are not entitled to anyone's time.

Keep posts to English Language

To help with Moderation and community this Subreddit is primarily an English language community. Please keep posts to English. The only exception is for searching for/advertising a Guild/Community with specific language/region requirements.
