Custard vs Ice Cream?
Custard vs Ice Cream?
FOOD & DRINK

In my region (Southern New Jersey), custard stands are much more common than ice cream stands. Yes, they serve both frozen custard and ice cream, but they are all called “custard” something.

Blinker Custard.
Custard Corral.
Custard Hut.
Flipper’s Custard.
General Custard’s Last Stand.
Hudocks Custard.
Kohr Bros Custard.
Custard Castle.

Just to name a few, lol. But when I’ve traveled to other parts of the US, frozen custard isn’t really a thing, and its closest relative is soft serve ice cream. So I’m just wondering if there are any other “custard” enclaves in the US, where you go “out for custard” instead of “out for ice cream”?
