Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Stopover (aviation)
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Stopover (aviation), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:58, 8 October 2025 (UTC)

Request reason:
I am requesting an unblock and username change, and I have carefully read the reasons for my block. 1. Disclosure: I am the owner of the website pointalize.com. I understand and acknowledge that this constitutes a paid-contribution and a conflict of interest under Wikipedia's guidelines (WP:PAID). 2. Understanding of Block: I now understand that my actions were a serious error. My username "Pointalize" was promotional, and my attempt to add a link to my own site was a clear violation of the rules against advertising and COI editing. I understand that my good intentions do not excuse breaking the rules. To ensure this never happens again, I will adopt a strict personal policy: I will not edit any articles where I have a conflict of interest. This includes any topics related to credit card rewards, loyalty programs, travel hacking, or my website. I will not use talk pages for these topics; I will avoid them completely. 3. Future Contributions: If unblocked, I will focus my contributions exclusively on topics where I have personal knowledge but no financial stake. As an IT Program Manager, I can contribute by adding reliable sources and correcting technical information on articles related to project management and software development methodologies. As a frequent traveler, I can also help improve articles on specific destinations I have visited. 4. New Username: I am requesting a username change to `phillipro`.
