Protection of Tung Tung Tung Sahur
[edit source]Hello, I noticed you indefinitely semi-protected Tung Tung Tung Sahur. Would you be comfortable with sharing why? The page has only existed for a few months, and the arbitration enforcement imposed on the parent article Italian brainrot was related to Bombardiro Crocodilo. As laid out in WP:PROT, permanent protection is appropriate when a page experiences long-term, constant disruption/vandalism. There's a non-zero chance the meme will fade to irrelevancy in the next 2/3 years, and the pace of disruption won't be enough to warrant a full IP/TA block as a result. Giovanni Potage (talk) 02:58, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Giovanni Potage: Maybe I am overestimating the long-term cultural influence of Tung Tung Tung Sahur; my rationale was the topic is popular enough where it is reasonable to expect persistent vandalism in the long-term, even though the article has only been around for a short while. Having the protection be period seemed like kicking the can down the road, but perhaps my original judgement was more appropriate. I changed the semi-protection to three years, but I can see justification for either decision. Yue🌙 (talk) 01:50, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks! Don't get me wrong, there are a few instances in the past where an early permanent protection was justified (Thomas Crooks, JD Vance, Pope Leo XIV, Mark Carney, Adam Lanza, which you might recall I specifically requested not to expire), but there is a difference between the aforementioned topics and a silly nonsensical meme. Giovanni Potage (talk) 02:42, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Giovanni Potage: Disagree with your last sentence; at the moment Tung Tung Tung Sahur receives more traffic and has seen more immediate disruptive edits than three of the four articles you gave as examples, but whether or not vandalism will be a lasting issue for that article, only time will tell in three years. Likely, as you said, it will die off like "What Does the Fox Say?" did in my time. Yue🌙 (talk) 03:14, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
- Speaking of "What Does the Fox Say?", I haven't seen anyone mention that song in such a long time. I remember it being the rage when I was 8/9. Giovanni Potage (talk) 03:16, 13 June 2026 (UTC)
- I think autoconfirmed users are gonna do vandalism sometime. Hope that doesn't happen. Purple, the Maker (Your welcome to say something!) 06:07, 23 June 2026 (UTC)

Blocking
[edit source]Hey @Yue I've noticed you blocked @PushaTdrakeismyaimtrainer and honestly I don't think a full time block is necessary. These seem like Good faith edits and he just didn't provide a reference. Here provides the reference to his claims, however, this might not be the best source. A ban from the Pusha T article or a warning is more appropriate in my opinion. Wobs100 (talk) 15:01, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Wobs100: Agreed after reviewing the added prose more carefully. Yue🌙 (talk) 19:12, 15 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi, as you have no email linked, how do I get you your prize for the Destubathon? ♦ Dr. Blofeld 07:01, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Dr. Blofeld: Howdy, the email attached to my Wikipedia account is the same email in my user page's infobox: yuewiki

- Ah I see. You're in Canada. I've been having problems with the Amazon.ca website. Kepler's voucher was cancelled by them the other day, for security reasons as I've been spending a lot on the prizes. I rebought today, hopefully it will go through and then I'll then see about getting you your voucher. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:43, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Dr. Blofeld: Thanks for your efforts and sorry for being a Canuck. Yue🌙 (talk) 15:48, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
- I sent you the voucher, waited a few days to make sure I didn't set off the security issue again. Appreciate your participation and patience! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 05:23, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
