Clean up
[edit]Hi Keeper, the article was in serious need of clean-up. Consensus isn't needed for that. What parts do you disagree with? Coffeeurbanite (talk) 19:49, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
- The WP:ONUS is on you for reasoning why the content and previous edit should be added back. I've explained my reasoning for why it was removed. Coffeeurbanite (talk) 19:52, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
- Happy to discuss on the talk page. Coffeeurbanite (talk) 19:56, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
- Consensus is needed for removing enormous portions of the article, as you did. Do you really think that after you’ve removed great long-standing swathes of text it’s someone else’s task to argue why it should all be restored? Do you think it’s right for you to ignore WP:BRD and reinstate your own disputed edits that you made only today in the past 4 hours, rather than discussing on the talk page per BRD?
- Do you plan to do this again when someone else inevitably reverts your edits? Keeper of Albion (talk) 20:10, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hello Keeper, Who ignored Wp:BRD? Yes, according to WP:BRD you're supposed to provide your reasoning for reverting. No, I do not need consensus to make edits. Yes, the edits were large because they were necessary. As previously asked, which edits do you disagree with and why (per WP:BRD as you've suggested)? I do hope that it's a coincidence
[edit]That you've somehow managed to jump from one article I took to FA to a second one I took to FA. There's not much similarity between the two subjects and no other connection, so it does look a bit odd. I do hope there isn't going to be a third one... - SchroCat (talk) 17:07, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- I’m free to edit any article that is not fully protected, I am not forbidden from editing articles in an editor’s recent contributions, and I am not "[confronting or inhibiting your] work" by lightly editing one that looked interesting to me (especially when my edit, to my knowledge at the time, had nothing to do with your work on the article). I didn’t know you were involved with Emily Davison when I first edited it. I didn’t know you took either article to FA status, and I don’t care, either. Nor did I care that the articles were FA at all, actually.
- I don’t want to sound rude by saying I don’t care, but I can’t think of another way to word that. When you clearly have so many pages on your watchlist, you really should be less accusatory over this sort of thing, even by implication. I’m not trying to bother you and I hope you have a good evening. Keeper of Albion (talk) 17:56, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- I really don't have that many pages on my watchlist, and it's surprising and noticeable when articles I've worked on extensively are edited by the same individual in quick succession. Let's just hope the coincidence ends here. - SchroCat (talk) 19:11, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
