Customers, percentages: churches vs. musicians

[edit]

How many instruments were sold to churches and how many to non-church musicians? If possible, even to the 3 specific years of the company.

Odd italics

[edit]

@Steue: What's the reason for the unusual formatting of "electronic"? GA-RT-22 (talk) 02:45, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

To distinguish "electronic" from "electric"; as the article says.
Thanks, GA-RT-22, for asking and not reverting.

Comparisons to pipe organ and piano

[edit]

The section Hammond organ #Keyboards and pedalboard compares the Hammond first and mainly to a piano. Although this comparison is of interest, it more or less also applies to a pipe organ. The Hammond should first be compared to a pipe organ, and only then to a piano.

[edit]

Hi all, the link to the article about John M. Hanert is wrong and leads to an article about an organ.

Thanks! TheNepomuk (talk) 19:58, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The link is John M. Hanert. This is a redirect to that part of the Chord organ article that discusses him. He doesn't (yet) have his own article. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 20:03, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

To add to article

[edit]

To add to this article: a small section mentioning classical composers who have called for the Hammond organ in their compositions (they include Louis Andriessen and Karlheinz Stockhausen).

The comment on the article says "Please DO NOT add information here without a RELIABLE SOURCE that specifically relates to a player's prominence and contribution to the use of a Hammond organ as an instrument, otherwise it may be reverted. Use the list articles in preference." Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:48, 11 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
