This is eventually intended to serve two main functions. First, it will be a coordination page for those who want to help welcome new users to Wikipedia. Second, it will serve as a page for discussion of better ways to integrate new users into the community. As part of this second function, it is also intended to function as a "WikiProject" of sorts for the collection of pages that currently introduce new users to Wikipedia. For now, see the talk page for discussion of what should go here, and sign your name if you're interested in joining.

Below is a list to which you can sign your name if you want to join this group. Note that this is currently unofficial and confers neither responsibilities nor priviliges. It is purely a self-identification. It may stay that way (which would be consistent with WikiPedia's standard practices) or it could (if desired) become more formal, like the "Aces" on h2g2.
