He just completed maintaining the [[Chicago Cubs]] and the [[2016 Chicago Cubs season]] articles for the past [[MLB]] baseball season which required almost daily diligence to keep them updated and current. He also spends quality time editing the many Michigan State Spartan sports articles as well as a slew of many other far-ranging articles related to sports teams and conferences. He monitors many varied College conference templates. Most (95%) of his 7000 edits are to mainspace articles. A conscientious editor that deserves notice and support. |

2016 Cubs season
With this diff you added a whole bunch of additional work for anyone maintaining the statistics. Now, that's fine if you are personally going to maintain the stats at least at the end of each series throughout the year, but if you are not planning on staying on top of the stats on an almost daily basis, I don't think its fair to expect someone else to fill in the columns that you have created. Its useful info but it requires diligence to keep it updated, which I don't see happening. Buster Seven Talk 12:51, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Two categories is hardly a lot of extra work, especially since they are readily accessible from any stat page. I will do my best to update daily, but every couple of days is acceptable.Lincolning (talk) 14:09, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- How am I doing? Do you approve? Lincolning (talk) 13:58, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Yes. Very Much. I didn't mean to be pushy. Its just that I did last years for most of the year and was looking forward to working on a WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONs article. But not the least bit a problem, at all. Your doing great...after each series is more than enough. Heck, some teams dont even have as much. Im sure you as a fan know what I meant. Maybe I said it wrong. It was just a concern and a bit of a being upset at "not being left alone" if you can "grok" what I mean. Go Cubs!!!! Buster Seven Talk 14:30, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Huge Cub fan here (first born child is "Addison Clark"), just started doing Wikipedia in the Fall, getting my feet wet, so don't have much experience. However, I take pride in keeping it up to date. Check out my work on Michigan State Spartans men's basketball, I'll keep up my part, but I understand wanting to do it yourself too. ;-) Lincolning (talk) 15:00, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry. Since my son-in-law and daughter (my grand-daughter attends OSU) are huge Ohio State fans I am not allowed to do anything re: Michigan sports teams. LOL. Buster Seven Talk 15:55, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- That will end that discussion.... Lincolning (talk) 15:57, 28 April 2016 (UTC)

Great summary for The Greatest Game 7 Ever Played. and great working with you throughout the Greatest Season in the life of every Cubs fan. As your page, here, proves, I called it back in April. I'm going to the parade today. Look for me....I'm the guy in the Maddon jersey....(lol)... Buster Seven Talk 12:37, 4 November 2016 (UTC)
"#" vs "No."
I started a discussion on the topic here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College Basketball#"No." vs "#" abbreviation and MOS:NUMBERSIGN. X96lee15 (talk) 17:30, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
2016–17 Butler Bulldogs men's basketball team
Just curious as to why you went and deleted all those lines in the schedule template. Having all the away, neutral, nonconf, etc. lines in there but empty doesn't affect anything on the page, and it makes it easier when creating new entries to be able to just copy down. I'd like to undo your edit but if you have a good reason for doing so I won't. BUPetey (talk) 14:30, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
- They weren't applicable to the particular game, so I removed them to make things simpler. You can always copy from the template. Also, those weren't the only changes I made, there were a few neutral sites that needed marked as such, etc.Lincolning (talk) 14:34, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

Could you consider commenting at at Talk:NCAA_Men's_Division_I_Basketball_Championship#Requested_move_21_June_2016 regarding the move request of NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship → NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament. Thanks.—Bagumba (talk) 21:35, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, Lincolning. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
